Tonight as I write this post, I am seated in my warm cozy living room. The children are fast asleep in their beds and hubby is hard at work. A hot cup of delicious tea sits beside me and my lap top is fully charged. It is safe to say I am in my happy place.
On Day 8, approximately one week and two hours shy of the moment we lost power, the lights came on. Yes, I am thankful my power is restored, but I am thankful for the lesson this ordeal has taught me. I’ve seen the goodness in strangers and friends alike and am humbled by the generosity offered to my family. I will make it my goal to pay this light forward.
