Amidst the devastation and sorrow here on the East Coast, it is difficult to believe that places where we created such happy memories are no longer standing. However, we as New Jersians, are resilient and we will rebuild. And in that thought, I share this with you:
In twenty-two days, we will hopefully be sitting around a plentiful table with family and love and electricity surrounding us. Join me in taking a moment each day to be thankful for something, someone that made your day a better day – a happier day.
Today, I am thankful for my ever resourceful husband who cleared the most massive tree from our yard, my kind daughter who knows just the right time to offer to make a cup of tea and my verbose Little Man who has managed to say some of the funniest one-liners amid the height of the storm and stress. We are all alive. Our home is in one piece and we still have each other.
Join me in the Twenty-Two Days of Thanks. Post on your facebook or twitter or blog and in the comment section of this post and the 21 posts to come what you are thankful for. Let’s share our thanks with others and spread joy and laughter this season.
