Nowhere to Be

We sat around the table.  We asked each other about our day.  We heard stories of what happened at recess and story time.

We had nowhere to be.

We chewed our food and swallowed slowly.  We had a meal that was served warm, fresh and not reheated.

We had nowhere to be.

This “break” before the storm that is known as the last mad dash before the end of the school year is very much-needed and appreciated.  Most activities for the next two weeks are cancelled or postponed and we will take very advantage of enjoying the calmness before the storm.
